Celebrating 15 Billion Liters of Clean Water and Counting!

June 26, 2019

On World Water Day 2019, we celebrated achieving our 2020 goal of delivering 15 billion liters of clean drinking water through the Children’s Safe Drinking Water (CSDW) Program. We are now accelerating our efforts to help provide clean drinking water to even more people by delivering 25 billion liters – more than 100 billion glasses of water – worldwide by 2025.

To bring awareness of the water crisis to consumers, we’ve also partnered with Walmart International to expand our “1 product = 1 liter” cause campaign and will be partnering with consumers doing their regular shopping to raise more donations in 14 countries. So far, through the support of Walmart International shoppers, more than 150 million days of clean water have been donated with so many more good things to come with the expansion of the program.

After 15 years of strong partnership that has delivered clean drinking water in more than 90 countries, we are still inspired by the ingenuity of P&G Fabric Care scientists in the early 2000’s. Their invention of a powdered product that could fit in a small packet and work with only a bucket, a stick and a cloth to prurify 10 liters of dirty, potentially deadly, water in only 30 minutes has changed the lives of so many. We proudly celebrated this major milestone with our employees, retirees, and business partners and the vital worldwide network of partnerships that makes all of the CSDW milestones possible. But we’re not stopping here - we’re ready and already working to transform even more lives together and reach 25 billion liters by 2025!
